J. Krishnamurti Online

Most people dream – why? Most of the time, your conscious mind is occupied – with a job, with what you are doing, with quarrels, with the superficialities of existence. All day, it is occupied with it, and when you go to sleep, the conscious mind is somewhat quiet – not entirely, but somewhat quiet. Into that quietness, the unconscious projects its own impulses, its own urgencies, its own convictions, its own remembrances, its compulsive urges, and the conscious mind translates those hints and intimations in symbols.
