We've seen the first players opt out for the 2020 season as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in the last few days, but Wednesday brought the first that really changes the Fantasy landscape: Damien Williams has decided he won't be playing this season, leaving a hole in the Chiefs offense, as Williams arguably should've won Super Bowl MVP in the win over the 49ers. But it's not a hole the Chiefs will have much trouble filling, thanks to rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire's presence. There was some question about how much of a role the first-rounder might have had this season coming into training camp, but with Williams opting out, this figures to be Edwards-Helaire's job from day one, and that makes him incredibly enticing for Fantasy. But is he 'first-round' enticing? In this offense, he very well might be. Dave Richard breaks down the ramifications of this news first, and you can read our updated Chiefs preview with sleepers, breakouts, busts, projections, and more for the 2020 season. Plus, we've got an emergency episode of Fantasy Football Today so you can hear how the whole crew reacted to the news. |
