Under the hood: Authorities find a strange surprise in a car When your car won’t start, what’s the first thing you suspect? Did the engine go bad? Is your battery dead? Well, for one driver in Florida, this problem had a much more ominous cause: a 10-foot Burmese python. The snake was found under the hood of a car that had failed to turn on. Authorities were brought in to carefully remove the snake to avoid causing further damage. Unfortunately for the snake, there wasn’t much luck in trying to save it. It just goes to show you that some places aren’t all that safe for naps. This isn’t even the strangest place people have found snakes.
