Have you ever had someone bomb your selfie? This annoying practice known as “photobombing” has been the bane of Instagrammers everywhere for years. But what happens when the photobomber in question isn’t even human? That’s what visitors to Mexico’s Chipinque Ecological Park are dealing with, thanks to an overly-friendly bear that became a viral sensation when he stood up on his hind legs and walked up behind two people photographing themselves on a trail.

The bear did not cause any problems and appeared rather docile, but the park is considering relocating the bear out of an abundance of caution. Still, many visitors aren’t happy about this idea, and a petition has been formed urging the park’s management to leave the bear alone. Maybe instead of evicting him, they can just give him his own smartphone for a change. Not every bear encounter on the trail goes as nicely as th is one.
