When Gerry Graf closed the doors of his highly respected creative agency, Barton F. Graf, in 2019, we knew we'd see him again soon.
A legend of the agency world, Graf had been producing high-profile work for decades at agencies like BBDO New York, TBWA\Chiat\Day and Saatchi & Saatchi before starting his own shop.
Now he's back, this time as a director, and he's bringing some serious star power with him.
Michael Douglas and Danny DeVito, an iconic duo of 1980s Hollywood, reunite in a Graf-directed PSA about end-of-life planning.
The spot is pretty straightforward and might be the only Zoom call I've wanted to go on longer, but it's a charming way to connect with an audience that definitely needs to start getting serious about preparing for the worst, so that our loved ones don't have to make painful choices for us.
Check it out in this writeup from my colleague Sara Spary—and maybe spend a minute, whatever your age or situation, looking into the kind of (sometimes uncomfortable) planning that each of us needs to put into place regardless of our Hollywood veteran status.
