Yesterday's Question of the Day

Yesterday's Question (by Steve Jones):

What is returned from this code, in a SQL Server 2016 installation with the US English defaults?

 DECLARE @t DATETIME2 = '10:00 am' SELECT @t

Answer: 1900-01-01 10:00:00.000

Explanation:

If you pass just a time value into the datetime datatype, this will use the default date of 1900-01-01 for the date part.
