Woman succumbs to injuries from fire on South State Street

A 39-year-old woman succumbed to injuries at Memorial Medical Center from a two-alarm house fire in the 2900 block of South State Street Thursday afternoon.

A motorcyclist who was struck at the intersection of 11th and Ash streets was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries late Wednesday evening.

McFarland worker from Peoria charged with criminal sexual abuse

A McFarland Mental Health Center worker from Peoria has been charged with two counts of criminal sexual abuse for his actions with a resident in March and April 2019.Thomas Bernardoni, 29, faces additional charges of official misconduct, harassment of a witness and unlawful restraint following an investigation by the Illinois State Police.
