We’ve got a set of great shows this week at Dazzle @ Baur’s! (And some special features later this month, like a FREE Thank You Party, so be sure to read all the way to the end of the email.)

Many of you don’t know how much Dazzle at Baur’s enjoys supporting meaningful causes. Last month, we gave everyone the option of adding a $5 donation to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) in honor of May being Mental Health Awareness Month. All $500 of these donations went directly to NAMI.

Throughout June, we are supporting the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts (CCJA) by adding to their need-based scholarships for their camp in Westcliffe: Jazz In The Sangres Camp There, 37 students spend 12-16 hours a day with professional musician mentors as they play, rehearse, compose, jam, perform, and connect with nature and each other. Let’s support CCJA in providing this unique musical experience for them.

Tuesday, June 29th - doors open at 4pm, The Denver Jazz Orchestra starts at 5pm: Thank You Party!

We’re marching forward and giving thanks. While this party is our gift to thank you (it’s free), please RSVP and consider giving a donation to CCJA’s scholarships (more on that below).

There's something very special about American big band music. 18 screaming trumpets, swinging rhythms, synchronized saxes, and in-your-face trombones create the new and familiar in the Great American Tradition we call Jazz.

The Denver Jazz Orchestra is the Mile High City's premier big band. The band plays traditional swing , legacy big band music from the book of Maynard Ferguson and Buddy Rich and modern Latin and funk big band music.

The band is comprised of some of Denver's top musicians who come together to keep the tradition of a powerhouse 18-piece big band alive and thriving in Denver.
