| NEWSLETTER – OCTOBER 2022 | UAE-IX is turning 10 | | A decade ago, we opened our first Internet Exchange outside of Germany, so a very happy birthday to UAE-IX! In its 10 years of operation, the exchange has grown from an empty data center to an important interconnection hub. We look forward celebrating with you next month during our annual UAE-IX peering workshop and cruise. Back in Germany, DE-CIX Leipzig is ready for business after the official opening party earlier this month. And on the tech side of things, after implementing the 7750 SR-s series with Nokia last year in Frankfurt, we are now the first Internet Exchange able to offer 800 GE access technology to our customers.
