| NEWSLETTER – SEPTEMBER 2022 | | Extended reach & increased resilience of connections | | After the summer holiday season, things have gotten busy at DE-CIX: We announced new Internet Exchange partnerships in Central and South-Eastern Europe and the team has been working hard to prepare for the EVPN implementation which will kick-off in October.
The new partnerships, with BIX.BG in Sofia (Bulgaria), NIX.CZ in Prague (Czech Republic), Atman in Warsaw (Poland), and InterLAN-IX in Bucharest (Romania), enable each IX operator to offer their connected customers cost-efficient and easy solutions to interconnect their networks and digital resources across multiple locations.
The EVPN migration at all our locations where we run the DE-CIX Apollon platform will start next month. We have enhanced the EVPN standard together with Nokia and other partners to implement features specifically for Internet Exchanges, increasing the resilience of connections for our customers.
