DEADLINE TODAY FOR TOP-UP GRANTS Fife Businesses who have not already applied for the Strategic Framework Business Fund are being urged to take immediate action to ensure they receive the top-up payments with the deadline today (5th February 2021). If you have already applied to the Strategic Framework Business Fund, you do not need to reapply for the top-up grant. It will be issued automatically. In most cases, eligible businesses that have already applied for the four-weekly payment from the Strategic Framework Business Fund will get an automatic top-up. |

Over £1 million Funding Available for Fife businesses to Train Staff The Scottish Government announced that a further £212,000 would be provided as part of the Flexible Workforce Development Fund taking the total monies available to over £1 million now available for Fife businesses to use to retrain and upskill their staff. Free Membership to Food from Fife Now Available The regional food group, Food from Fife, is offering free membership to any food or drink related business based in Fife until May 2021 in a bid to support food, drink and hospitality businesses during the Coronavirus pandemic. The group has more than 80 members, representing a diverse spread of the industry: from food and drink producers of all sizes, large hotels and small B&Bs, colleges, food consultants, caterers, restaurants, pubs and distributors. |

Record Funding to Deliver Scotland’s Green Recovery The Scottish Government will invest a record £1.9 billion in tackling climate change and creating good, green jobs in 2021/22. Delivery of a ground-breaking £1.6 billion investment to transform heat and energy efficiency of buildings will get underway, directly supporting up to 5,000 jobs and tackling fuel poverty while rapidly accelerating the decarbonisation of an area which makes up a quarter of Scotland’s greenhouse gas emissions. Scotland Coach Operators – COVID-19 Business Support and Continuity Fund The £10 million fund is being delivered by VisitScotland on behalf of the Scottish Government and has been developed with input from the Confederation of Passenger Transport. It will support these businesses, who incur significant costs for vehicles which cannot operate while restrictions on travel are still in place and to help prepare for recommencing operations when restrictions are lifted.
