December and January Business Support Top Up - Hospitality Sector

Hospitality will provide a one-off payment to support businesses affected by the latest COVID public health advice in December 2021. Eligible hospitality businesses that previously received support through the Strategic Framework Business Fund will be contacted directly by their local authority.

The one-off payment is at the rate of:

  • £4,500 for premises that have a rateable value of up to and including £51,000
  • £6,800 for premises that have a rateable value of £51,001 or more

January Business Support Top Up - Hospitality and Leisure

Hospitality and Leisure will provide a one-off payment to support businesses in Scotland that were affected by the requirements for physical distancing and capacity limits that came into force from 27th December 2021 due to COVID-19.

£9 Million Fund to Support the Tourism Sector

Details of a financial package worth up to £9 million for Scotland’s vital tourism sector have been confirmed by the Scottish Government. 

The funding package is to mitigate the impacts of Omicron and will be administered by VisitScotland which will allocate the funding between affected businesses in key areas.

Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Grant Closes Next Week

Round 2 of the Fife Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Grant is set to close on 19th January 2022.

Organisations operating in Fife will be able to apply for grants of around £10,000, and exceptional projects will be considered for funding of up to £50,000.

Large Outdoor Events To Resume From 17th January

Large outdoor events can resume without physical distancing or capacity limits from Monday 17th January, following a review of all measures in place to limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

To support the lifting of capacity limits on outdoor events, COVID certification will remain for these where more than 4,000 standing or 10,000 seated are in attendance, and all other events and venues previously covered.
