SAVE $25 ON YOUR 2017 FACE OF AMERICA REGISTRATION
Saving money is always a good practice. So go ahead and save $25 on your Face of America rider registration by completing your registration by this Saturday, December 31, 2016.
Our 2017 early bird discount code is valid for all registrations processed by Saturday evening. In your registration process, add code FOA2017EB and $25 will be deducted from your fee.
Online registration is currently open for most participant categories. The exceptions are our adaptive athlete and caregiver categories, opening for invited athletes for three days beginning Friday, January 6, and our ride marshals, which will open for a specific registration window determined by the marshal coordinators.
Face of America athletes can select between two distinctive routes. Our classic 110-mile route from Arlington to Gettysburg begins at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, overnights in Frederick, Maryland and ends at the AllStar Expo Complex at the Eisenhower Hotel in Gettysburg in the early afternoon of Sunday, April 30.Our second-year 120-mile route from Valley Forge to Gettysburg begins at General Washington's historic Revolutionary War camp west of Philadelphia, overnights in Lancaster, and ends at the AllStar Expo Complex at the Eisenhower Hotel in Gettysburg in the early afternoon of Sunday, April 30. If you've ridden our classic route in the past, try our new route for a different ride experience! Both routes will join together in downtown Gettysburg for the final miles through the historic Civil War battlefields to the AllStar Expo Complex. If you have a large team, consider splitting your team into two, with riders on both routes. Keep in touch during the ride through postings on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Unable to ride this April? Consider our Face of America Virtual Supporter category. By registering in this category for no registration fee, you can still fund raise in support of participating riders and teams from the comfort of your own home. Adaptive athlete candidates who applied for positions for our Face of America ride by our published December 2 deadline should have received by email welcome letters last week.If you are an adaptive athlete who did not complete our online questionnaire and would like to join our waiting list, please apply today. Every year, invited athletes drop out unexpectedly owing to medical reasons and for official military orders.By completing the questionnaire and joining our official waiting list, athletes will be invited to fill positions when openings occur in the next few months. | | |

If you are seeking something special to show your support of Face of America, exclusive branded clothing and gear is now available for purchase online at our Face of America store. Preorder your favorite products today, and you can pick up your gear at ride registration and check-in at our host hotel in Arlington and Valley Forge April 28. There is no guarantee that extra stock will be available for purchase at the event if products are not preordered. The Face of America store is also where you purchase tickets for the return bus ride on Sunday afternoon or additional meal tickets for family or friends.Is your team planning a special fundraising event in support of your participation in Face of America this winter or spring?
