| Good morning, and welcome to the Saints Insider newsletter for Wednesday, May 24, 2023. Finally. Football. The Saints hit the practice field Tuesday for the start of organized team activities, aka OTAs, aka practice. It was our first chance to see newcomers like Derek Carr, Jamaal Williams and Foster Moreau live and in person. There's only so much you can learn from one non-padded offseason workout, but I compiled a list of observations and takeaways from Tuesday's two-hour practice session. Carr was as impressive off the field as he was on it. During his free-wheeling 20-minute media session, he was candid, funny and forthright with local reporters, Terrin Waack reports. "I came here to win," Carr said. Carr wasn't the only quarterback in the news. Rookie Jake Haener created a buzz recently when his rookie photo shoot went viral on the Internet, Patrick Magee reports. And last but not least, the Saints made some off-field news by announcing the club has secured the NFL's international marketing rights to France. Tres bien! That's it for today.
