dear designboom reader, public art projects infuse open spaces with mesmerizing patterns, captivating colors and curious forms. taking over buildings in city streets, pierre brault's spellbinding sundials mark the natural rhythm and time of day at every hour through natural light and colors. in downtown budapest, four heritage-protected palaces undergoing restoration have been wrapped with golden fabric, shining an artistic spotlight onto them while challenging our perception of the built environment. finally, in a scenic oasis in the gobi desert, a luminous, half-moon installation reflected by the shallow water creates the illusion of a full moon emerging from the landscape. thanks for reading! sofia lekka angelopoulou | deputy editor |
