WOOD AND TIMBER |
designboom daily - sunday edition |

dear designboom reader, recently, architecture made of wood and timber has been making strides, including sou fujimoto’s timber ring roof for expo 2025 osaka. while waiting for its completion, visitors may want to swing by the latticed SILT middelkerke complex which has opened to the public on the belgian coast. wood and timber also take on new forms and playful shapes. in lyon, UV LAB’s le kraken interprets the sea monster as a giant installation made of reclaimed wood and tentacles. at home, kengo kuma's modular wooden shelf comes with moving plates that can allow for more flexible cabinet space. thanks for reading! matthew burgos | editor |
