ALUMINUM TREE BRANCHES MEET RIMOWA'S ICONIC GROOVES

in a conceptual meet up of nature and artifact, seoul-based designer and artist lee sisan creates the 'neo-primitive' chair. the unique piece of furniture combines RIMOWA's iconic grooved surface with aluminum tree branches that serve as the chair's legs.

CHRISTO AND JEANNE-CLAUDE 'L'ARC DE TRIOMPHE, WRAPPED' IN TOKYO

designboom visits christo and jeanne-claude 'l'arc de triomphe, wrapped' at 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT in tokyo. the exhibition explores the pair's long-time dream of wrapping the famous parisian monument, which became a reality after their deaths, in the fall of 2021. in addition, it offers an overview of the artists’ 60-year journey through archive material such as photographs, video footage and architectural models.
