As the leaves start falling off the trees and the days get shorter, something about the weather just makes you crave a bowl of warm, comforting soup, doesn’t it? But I have something for you BEFORE you reach for a can of store-bought soup. I mean, have you seen that ingredient label? It’s actually possible to preserve your own soup in jars. With home canning, you know exactly what’s inside each meal - no preservatives or questionable ingredients - and tailor the recipes to what your family most enjoys. But canning soup isn’t quite as simple as just throwing a bunch of ingredients into the jar either. There are a few things you need to know to make sure you’re canning soup SAFELY at home, in the pressure canner.
