A day of fun but also of honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice

No doubt most of us will be enjoying Memorial Day, the official start of summer, with backyard barbecues, shopping, swimming, concerts and sports. But our editorial writers urge us to reflect on the true meaning of this day: honoring those who died in battle and praying for those still serving.
