As we enter a new year and face the anniversary of the October 7 attacks, we know that the High Holidays will feel especially meaningful. Never has there been a greater need for a community conversation and connection that can hold the enormity of what we’ve experienced.

The Forward has met that challenge, guided by the same values we’ve held for more than a century: to report the news with courage, accountability, integrity and Yiddishkeit. We have reaffirmed our mission to serve our community, hosting the American Jewish conversation in our pages, providing clarity and giving voice to all facets of this searing story.
