Welcome to the 816th DPReview Newsletter

The big news today is Olympus's announcement that an agreement has been reached in principle to sell its imaging business by the end of the year. After more than 80 years in the industry, it will be a sad day when Olympus officially stops making cameras, but we're told that the brand will live on under new ownership. It's the end of an era, either way, but here's hoping this is ends up being more of a Pentax / Hoya kind of a deal and less of a Samsung situation. Hopefully all will become clear before the end of 2020.
