One man's feature is another man's bug. Photographer Robert Hall has discovered a quirk about how the live view and EVF on Sony's full-frame mirrorless cameras respond when you attach a flash. Fortunately, he's also found a way to work around it.

Microsoft's Surface Hub 2 is a massive collaborative touchscreen display that may or may not have any practical use for professional photographers... but it sure looks impressive nonetheless.

Google is replacing its existing Google Drive plans with newly packaged Google One plans that are 50% cheaper and come with live chat support. Two terabytes of cloud storage will now cost you just $10/month.

Fujifilm has announced the Instax Square SQ6, an analog instant film camera that resembles the old Instagram logo. The SQ6 takes Fujifilm's Instax Square film which gives a 62 x 62mm (2.4 x 2.4") images on 86 x 72mm film. It will cost around $130.

Researchers at the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign and Intel have developed a neural network that can brighten extremely low-light images without adding any noise. It's not an exaggeration to say the results are incredible.

Nikon Corporation has released financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31st 2018, and the news is good. Thanks to strong sales of the D850 and some restructuring measures paying off, the company reported an 8x increase in overall profit despite a slight drop in revenue.

Yongnuo has released version II of its ultra-affordable nifty fifty lens for Canon EF Mount: the 50mm F1.8 II. Version II drops the minimum focusing distance to 35mm, adds a focus distance indicator to the lens, and more, but costs only $75.

Sony has released new firmware for its a7R lll to insert a new option for Pixel Shift Multi Shooting that reduces the delay between frames to 0.5 sec. Firmware v1.10 adds the 0.5 sec delay setting to the menu so users can halve the current shortest time between frames taken with the camera in Pixel Shift Shooting mode.

Budget camera gear brand Yongnuo has debuted a new lens. Made for the Canon EF mount, the YN 60mm F2 MF macro lens offers a 1:1 magnification ratio at a minimum focusing distance of 23cm. No word yet on how much (or how little) it will cost.

The limited edition lens joins the original black and brass versions, as well as the chrome-plated version released last year. You just have to be willing to pony up an extra $150.

DJI has released a new(ish) drone: the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0. The updated P4P features almost all of the same internal specs of the original, but integrates a new high-res low-latency 'OcuSync' transmission system and decreases flight noise by 60%.
