This week's top real estate headlines

Word on the real estate gossip street is that superstar basketball player LeBron James has picked up the celeb-pedigreed, Beverly Hills Post Office estate of the late Lee Phillip Bell, creator of TV dramas like "The Young and the Restless." Originally built in the 1930s, the Mediterranean-style compound features two detached guesthouses, a tennis court, an oval-shaped swimming pool and killer views of the Los Angeles basin, Catalina Island and the Pacific. Meanwhile, over in Bel Air, it looks like Lori Loughlin and hubby Mossimo Giannulli are trying to bounce out of the posh neighborhood as quickly as they can. Originally listed for $35 million, the legally-troubled couple recently sold their 12,000-square-foot manse to Tinder co-founder Justin Mateen at the heavily discounted price of $18 million.

In other news, "Chef's Table" creator David Gelb is hoping to get a little under $2.2 million for his Hollywood Hills home, Sweetgreen cofounder and co-CEO Nicolas Jammet is moving into Hancock Park, "Walking Dead" producer David Alpert wants to walk away from his 1950s-era residence, Hyatt heir Sam Pritzker snatched up Llyod Wright's Samuel-Novarro house for $3.5 million, Imagine Dragons lead singer Dan Reynolds purchased Goldie Hawn's former Malibu beach home for $11.3 million, and L.A.'s quirky John A. Van Pelt estate has hit the market for the first time in 45 years.
