This week's top real estate headlines

In a rather odd turn of events, reality competition tycoon Simon Cowell bought, then listed his protégé Leona Lewis' Hidden Hills equestrian estate — at a loss. Cowell bought the Scandinavian-influenced home in an off-market deal for $3.9 million and currently has a $3.7 million price tag on the property. Meanwhile, over in West Hollywood, it looks like Charlize Theron is looking to slim down her massive Los Angeles real estate portfolio just a tad. The actress recently listed a modest, yet charming Spanish-style bungalow for a little under $1.9 million.

In other news, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are temporarily renting a contemporary Beverly Hills mansion, actor Greg Kinnear is asking a touch under $6.6 million for his Brentwood house, Chris Pratt and Anna Faris finally sold their former marital home, Tiger Woods' ex-wife Elin Nordegren made off with a fortune in the sale of her Palm Beach residence, and Tommy Hilfiger is seeking $47.5 million for his European-inspired Connecticut estate.

Simon Cowell Buys Then Lists Leona Lewis’ Home

Whatever the reasons for his willingness to lose several hundred thousand dollars on the deal, listings held by Mark John Williams of Marquis Realty Inc. indicate there are five bedrooms and seven full and two half bathrooms between the approximately 4,900-square-foot single-story main house and detached guesthouse.

Elin Nordegren, Swedish-born former model and ex-wife of philandering golf legend Tiger Woods, has been trying to offload her massive Palm Beach, Fla., estate since early 2018.
