New P5 Manuals and Guides

Over the last few months, we have started a new collection of handy step-by-step guides to help you set up P5 in specific scenarios. These guides can be found on our website in the Manuals & Guides section and on our blog. 

The latest additions help you navigate the setup of P5 with Cloud storage and guide you through the process of importing data into AWS cloud storage using the AWS Snowball. 

We will be adding more step-by-steps over time. If you have suggestions for topics you would like to see covered, please send them to Julia Friedrich. 

macOS and legacy media formats

As of the macOS release AFTER the current MacOS 10.14 Mojave, Apple will no longer support certain media formats. A number of codecs, most likely created with QuickTime 7 or older versions, will no longer be compatible with Final Cut Pro X. Therefore, you will need to convert them for future use. 

Apple has published a list of the affected codecs on their support website. For some practical tips, you may also refer to this article by Larry Jordan.
