Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) include injuries and conditions that can affect the back, joints and limbs. These can reduce a persons quality of life and can be developed, or made worse, through work. HSE statistics show that in 2021/22, 477,000 workers suffered from work-related MSDs, accounting for 7.3 million working days lost.
