'Radical constitutional changes': Amendment 3, one of four proposed constitutional changes voters will weigh this week, would allow lawmakers to change or expand the number of felony crimes for which juveniles can be tried as adults — crimes like distribution of fentanyl, carjacking or home invasion. But, as Joni Hess reports, the proposal is controversial.
Toll troubles: Construction of the new Belle Chasse Bridge kicked off in April 2021 and the years that followed were marked by intermittent road closures and traffic nightmares. The bridge is finally open, but with a toll soon to come, Belle Chasse business owners aren't feeling much more optimistic. Blake Paterson has the details.
Cities of the dead: Local nonprofit Save Our Cemeteries has been leading tours through the city's unique burial grounds for the last 50 years. But amid financial challenges, Save Our Cemeteries has dissolved and merged with the larger Preservation Resource Center, a move both organizations say will benefit New Orleans' historic "cities of the dead." Stephanie Riegel has the story.
