'Improving the OECD Test Guidelines Process'

Tuesday 1st March 15.00 – 16.30 CET

The NanoHarmony project is launching the first in a series of webinars to improve the OECD TG process. Are you interested in contributing to the development of OECD test guidelines but don’t know where to start? Or do you already contribute to this process, but want to know how to avoid delays in your methods being adopted?

During the first half of 2022, the NanoHarmony Project is running a webinar series covering the journey of a test guideline (TG) through the OECD process to be able to understand the challenges and barriers that need to be addressed at each stage. The webinars will all be interactive with the aim of gathering input from all stakeholders involved in the OECD test guideline development process, along with those that are interested in the use of TGs, as well as researchers who are looking to develop their outcomes into new TGs.

'Raman Spectroscopy Practices to Ensure Good Data' - Live Webinar

Friday 25th March 11:00-12:00 CEST.

The CHARISMA Project is excited to announce that Dr James Thomson from ELODIZ will meet with the Raman spectroscopy audience and discuss how Raman spectroscopy practices ensure good data.

This webinar will give guidance to Raman operators on practices that will mitigate or avoid several issues that can occur during the analysis of samples using Raman spectroscopy. This will give new Raman operators confidence knowing they are not experiencing issues unique to themselves and give awareness to experienced Raman operators of issues they may not have experienced.

'Introduction to and Training on Risk Assessment for Micro and Nanoplastics'

Tuesday 29th March 10:00 – 15:00 CEST

This interactive workshop organised by the PlasticsFatE Project will introduce you to risk assessment for micro and nanoplastics and invites you to fully engage in discussions.

In this online workshop, the lecturers will provide an introduction to risk assessment for micro and nanoplastics (MNPs) and participants will be given an overview on the basics of risk assessment and various tools to support the assessment procedure. The lecturers hope for feedback from the participants on data needs and availability as well as which tools might exist in the portfolios of the MNP projects and/or MNP CUSP Cluster partners.

Nanosafety Training School: 'Towards Safe and Sustainable by Design Advanced (Nano)Materials'

Sunday 15th May - Friday 20th May

Taking place in the historic centre of Venice, Italy, the school aims to transfer state-of-the-art knowledge on a variety of topics from key experts to the new generation of professionals working in the areas of safety and sustainability of advanced (nano)materials. To this end, the school will deliver keynote lectures and will engage the participants in interprofessional training by means of roleplay and hands-on training exercises. The programme will balance experimental and modelling approaches in each of the school topics

It is hosted by the company GreenDecision in the frame of the EU Horizon 2020 project SUNSHINE and is co-organised and substantially contributed by the Horizon 2020 projects ASINA, SbD4Nano, SABYDOMA, SAbyNA, DIAGONAL, HARMLESS, NanoInformaTIX, NanoSolveIT, Gov4Nano, NANORIGO, RiskGONE, NanoCommons, CHARISMA and the US Duke-led INFRAMES initiative.

'Nanoweek' and NanoCommons Final Conference

Monday 20th June - Friday 24th June

NanoCommons, in collaboration with the EU NanoSafety Cluster projects, organises the “Nano-week” and NanoCommons Final Conference, in Limassol, Cyprus.

The theme of the conference is “Evolution of Nanosafety and materials sustainability as we transition into Horizon Europe”.

The conference and associated events (e.g., Young NanoSafety Researchers event, Training events, EU-US CoRs meeting, NanoInChi meeting, NSC meeting) will take place between 20–24 June 2022.

Key dates:
· 12th Jan 2022: Call for abstracts opens
· 20th April 2022: Early bird registration deadline
· 31st May 2022: Deadline for POSTER abstract submission
