Don't Outlive Your Health
Good news or bad news? You decide.
In 1928, U.S. life expectancy was about 57 years.
In 1957, the expectancy grew to 68 years. That's an amazing gain of 11 years of "lifespan" in just 30 years.
Today, that now-65-year-old born in 1957 still has an expected 20 additional years... to the age of 85. One in 4 will live past 90, and 1 in 10 will see their 100th birthday.
And as medical advancements continue, that number will increase even more... and even faster. According to the National Institute on Aging, the number of folks who make it past the age of 100 is expected to grow at a rate of 20 times the total population by 2050.
This sounds like great news... But if you have hip pain and can barely walk and are stuck in bed for the last five years of your life, who wants to live longer?
That's the inspiration behind the "healthspan" – the time folks have at nearly full health, not battling disease or decline. For our bodies, that means having exceptional mobility and freedom from pain. For the mind, it's having excellent cognitive function.
Our healthspans don't keep up with our lifespans. A 2021 study from the Mayo Clinic shows there's a nine-year gap in which we're kept alive but functioning poorly. That means we're spending the final years of our lives suffering from ailments like arthritis, dementia, heart disease, and cancer.
So instead of passing your last years doing things you love – like traveling, exploring the outdoors, or playing with your grandkids – you'll spend it in doctor's offices and hospitals.
You'll be stuck taking medications that interact and often make you feel worse, instead of better.
Much of your energy and money could disappear into battles against disease symptoms.
But here's the thing... Many of these diseases are preventable. You don't have to spend the last few precious years of your life this way. And it's easier than you'd think to avoid this problem and lengthen your healthspan.
Whatever your situation, it's never too late to start working on increasing your healthspan.
There's nothing more important. Certainly not wealth that you would never get to enjoy.
That's why I recently released a report for subscribers of my newest research service, Prosperity Investor.
In this report, I share my top five ideas, based on the latest clinical research and technology.

Reader tip of the week...
*** I was very athletic in my youth and have always been on the lean side body wise.
But after hitting [my] late 50s early 60s, I started losing weight and muscle mass.
I'm 6'5" and was getting very thin and didn't have the strength or endurance I had enjoyed my whole life.
So I started lifting weights again. I lift weights now about 2-3 times a week, for 20 to 25 minutes. And do the bike 10 minutes twice a week.
This has made a huge difference in my weight and strength, and also endurance. I don't think people realize that you don't have to train like you're going out for the Olympics. Even twice a week will make a world of difference in the way you feel about yourself and improve your attitude about life.
I find that shorter, intense workouts can be more easily fit into one's busy schedule.
Thanks for your excellent Health Bulletins, you are making a big difference in people's lives. Keep up the good work! – D.B.

GET OUT OF BANKS IMMEDIATELY Salting away your cash in a T-bill is one of the worst things you could be doing with your money. A little-known vehicle outside of banks could double, triple, or even quadruple your life savings if you know where to find it right now. And it has nothing to do with any typical stock, bond, or crypto. Click here for the full details. | |
