Downtown Dayton curfew in effect until 6 a.m.; large crowds disperse
Crowds of protesters began to disperse just before the city’s curfew went into effect at 7 p.m. Police began announcing the curfew using loud speakers.

Dayton Police Chief Richard Biehl said that a total of 36 people were arrested last night during protests in downtown Dayton. 33 of those arrests were misdemeanor charges. Biehl said that there was extensive damage done to buildings done in the area.

A curfew that is in place for portions of downtown Dayton and the Oregon District will remain in effect and now begins earlier, according to a release from the city. The curfew now lasts from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Sunday night, the curfew began at 9 p.m.
Dayton curfew to start earlier today; community begins cleanup
Dayton Police tweeted that two large protest groups were still active in the city. One group is blocking the entrance and exit to the RTA hub. The tweet said that Main Street and Third Street are not passable to traffic.
