Happy Saturday, Who Dats. Here is your weekend edition of the Saints Insider, the newsletter from The Times-Picayune | Advocate to keep you updated on the latest news on your favorite NFL team. Let’s start with some news on former coach Sean Payton. Yeah, I know that still sounds strange to hear. Payton will deliver the commencement address at Loyola University on May 14. He will also receive an honorary doctor of letters degree. I guess that means we will have to start calling him Dr. Sean. The Saints also added to their roster on Friday, adding safety Daniel Sorensen. Sorensen spent his first eight NFL seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. Read what Sorensen had to say about his new team. The Saints also lost a player. Quarterback Trevor Siemian is headed to Chicago to play for the Bears after signing a 2-year deal. Friday also means there was a new episode of ‘Dattitude.’ Zach Ewing and I joined Jim Derry and talked about everything from Jameis Winston to the Final Four, which will be played next weekend at Caesars Superdome. That’s all for now. Enjoy your weekend. Rod Walker |
