| | Hillsdale's K-12 curriculum faces pushback | As the intense debate over school curriculum continues, Hillsdale College is facing some pushback to its K-12 history curriculum. Some say The 1776 Curriculum glosses over the darker aspects of U.S. history, but Hillsdale's assistant provost, Kathleen O'Toole, told CP the school's curriculum offers students "the truth," noting the college has provided K-12 instruction for more than a century. O'Toole further explained the curriculum draws from primary source documents in a bid to help students uncover evidence about historical figures and situations for themselves. Read more. | Biden admin. to pay $65K for family planning policy change | A federal court in Texas has ordered the Biden administration to pay approximately $65,000 in legal fees for removing a requirement to cover natural family planning healthcare. Dr. Cami Jo Tice-Harouff challenged a decision by the Health Resources and Services Administration of the Department of Health and Human Services in December 2021 to scrap the regulation requiring coverage for natural family planning, allegedly without going through the proper administrative procedure.
