The MacBook Pro Touch Bar is coming back

But take note — it's not Apple's doing

Remember the MacBook Pro’s Touch Bar? Apple introduced it in 2016 as a way to enhance user interaction by providing customizable controls based on the application in use. It turned out that folks preferred proper keys over a touch-sensitive interface, so Apple eventually got rid of it. But it may be making a comeback.

A new project on Kickstarter wants to launch Apple's Touch Bar as a standalone device called the Flexbar. The 10-inch 2K OLED touchscreen is designed to sit above the keyboard on your laptop, on your desk above your keyboard, or even beside your tablet, to give you quick access to your most-used buttons ...

The handsets are expected to launch in the summer

A consultant in the display supply chain industry has claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will feature the same panels found on the recently released Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, including an 8-inch foldable main display and a 6.5-inch cover display, significantly larger than the Z Fold 6’s 7.6-inch primary display and 6.3-inch cover display, Digital Trends reported.

The consultant also anticipates that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will have a 6.85-inch main display and a 4-inch cover display. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a 6.7-inch main display and a 3.4-inch cover display ...

Sony Bravia Theater Bar 8 review: plug-and-play Dolby Atmos

'Packing plenty of power, the Sony Bravia Theater Bar 8 is a solid TV companion'

In his hands-on review of Sony’s mid-tier Bravia Theater Bar 8, Digital Trends’ audio specialist Simon Cohen notes the device’s smaller footprint, fewer ports, and fewer features compared to its predecessor, calling it “a friendlier, simpler speaker.”

Simon’s review praises the soundbar for its easy setup, “very good” bass performance, HDMI input, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and expandability with optional speakers. However, disappointments include an absence of optical or analog inputs, a lack of sound settings, and limited streaming options. Dive into the review for the full analysis ...

The last major game of 2024 is going to wreck your PC

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is launching soon on PC, and you might need to upgrade in order to play it

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle arrives on Monday, but unfortunately for a lot of PC players, the system requirements might be too steep, even if the rig is packing one of the best graphics cards, Digital Trends reported.

There are different tiers of requirements, from “minimum” for basic performance, to “ultra” for the very best. At the extreme end, you’ll need Nvidia’s top-end RTX 4090 graphics card to max everything out at 4K, and also a flagship CPU like the Core i9-13900K. But things are still very demanding lower down the stack, too ...
