Adobe brings powerful new AI tools to Photoshop and Illustrator

The new features are designed to 'accelerate creative workflows, save pros time, and empower designers to realize their visions faster'

Adobe is continuing to add powerful generative-AI tools to Photoshop and Illustrator.

According to an XDA Developers report, the “more exciting” ones announced on Tuesday include the new Generative Shape Fill and Enhanced Text to Pattern tools. “Generative Shape Fill lets you type in what you want within a shape you've plotted out to quickly fill it in, while Enhanced Text to Pattern lets you create simple designs with a single prompt. Both of these use Adobe's powerful Firefly AI model to render what you want.”

The update also includes Style Reference for generating content in your own style, and Enhance Detail to add sharpness to your images ...

This Galaxy Z Flip 6 durability test will make you wince

A popular tech YouTuber has just put Samsung’s new Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphone through its paces, and it's not pretty

With Samsung’s new Galaxy Z Flip 6, tech YouTuber Zack Nelson of JerryRigEverything has just done what he does best. That is, completely wreck a phone to test its level of durability.

The video will be a tough watch for those who find it hard to witness expensive pieces of carefully designed technology being scratched, scraped, burned, and bent to (near or total) destruction. But it’s kinda fascinating, too.

It’s not long before the box cutter appears. With unnerving enthusiasm, Nelson drags the blade over all parts of the phone, creating deep scratches across the frame while making a noise that will cause the hairs on the back of your neck stand up ...

‘A much better version of Spotify’ is coming, CEO says

Daniel Ek said the aim is to offer 'sort of a deluxe version'

Speaking during Spotify’s latest earnings call on Tuesday, Spotify chief Daniel Ek acknowledged that many of Spotify’s Premium subscribers want higher-quality audio, Digital Trends reported.

Despite announcing plans for a lossless audio option in 2021, Spotify still hasn’t launched it. Ek seemed to hint on Tuesday that Spotify HiFi is coming (but didn’t say when), and also suggested how much it might cost.

“The plan here is to offer a much better version of Spotify,” Ek said. “[It] could be something like $5 above the current premium tier ... around the $17 or $18 price point. Sort of a deluxe version of Spotify that has all of the benefits that the normal Spotify version has, but a lot more control, a lot higher quality across the board” ...

‘The AM RGB 65 retains the best features of the Cyberboard in a smaller chassis — and it's much more affordable, even at this price’

Angry Miao’s AM RGB 65 mechanical keyboard has received plenty of praise in a hands-on review by Windows Central.

It describes the keyboard as a “terrific showcase of Angry Miao's unique design ethos, [combining] distinctive styling with excellent build quality and one of the best linear switches available today.” It also offers an “excellent” typing experience and a highly customizable LED panel, and it comes with Bluetooth 5.1 and 2.4GHz connectivity.

Via Kickstarter, the AM RGB 65 starts at $449, while the bundle comes in at $559. Shipping is expected to begin this October ...
