Elon Musk performed the unveiling at a special event at the Warner Bros Studios in Burbank, California, on Thursday after being driven to the stage by the autonomous robotaxi. The Cybercab sports a futuristic look and comes with so-called "butterfly doors" that open upwards. The new electric-powered car has ditched the steering wheel and pedals, and uses inductive charging instead of a plug. There was also a big surprise in the form of a much larger autonomous vehicle — the Robovan — that Musk said will be able to transport people and goods ... |

Motorola’s patent features a phone that can automatically adjust its hinge position to help keep the user in the center of the frame during something like a video call. It’s similar to Apple's Center Stage feature, except that Motorola's idea is based on hardware, not software. The patent, spotted by 91Mobiles, shows a series of small motors controlling the hinge of the phone, tracking the user’s movements and shifting accordingly to offer the best viewing angle. So if, say, you’re taking a meeting at your desk during the workday, the phone can tilt up or down if you change your position, ensuring that you can still see the screen and that the other attendees can still see you ... |

Apple releases immersive Submerged movie for Vision Pro |

Apple has just debuted the first scripted film captured in Apple Immersive Video and made especially for the Vision Pro headset, Digital Trends reported. Designed to put viewers in the center of the action, Submerged takes place on a WWII-era submarine and follows its crew as they attempt to deal with a harrowing torpedo attack. It offers Vision Pro wearers a 180-degree view so that you can explore your surroundings and follow the action wherever it takes place. Submerged director Edward Berger, whose other work includes the Oscar-winning All Quiet on the Western Front, described Apple Immersive Video as “a wonderful new medium that expands the horizon of storytelling” ... |
