Air-quality warnings are in place and there's a heat advisory for feel-like temperatures well over 100. If misery loves company, there's a few million people to get chummy with until the heat breaks (maybe next week). A former prosecutor is facing five years in state prison after admitting to a sex-related charge involving a minor. He's pleaded no contest to a charge involving a 13-year-old, too. A 16-year-old victim, who's now a young woman, questions whether the lawyer ever felt remorse. Town officials in Sorrento want to know who has been going around asking questions of residents. The person is purported to be a Census official, but it's still a mystery because the person started asking questions without telling anyone with the municipal government that they'd be around.
