| | Friday, January 12, 2024 | If you're still reeling from the 2023 Fantasy Football season, now is the time to start planning your revenge tour for 2024. It's never too early to prepare for your next Fantasy Football draft, and Jamey Eisenberg's Early 2024 Season Rankings provide Fantasy managers with all the insights necessary to make sound decisions in their next draft. | | The rankings include top players by position, according to points per game (minimum five starts). They feature rankings from Jamey Eisenberg, Adam Aizer, Heath Cummings, Jacob Gibbs, David Richard, Dan Schneier, and Chris Towers. While we acknowledge coaching changes on the horizon and offseason events like free agency and the NFL Draft, now is the perfect time to assess what we witnessed in 2023 and begin devising a strategy for the 2024 Fantasy Football drafts. | | 2024 QB Rankings | Jamey's quarterback rankings revealed many surprises compared to the CBS Sports Average Draft Position data. Joe Flacco closed the season better than anyone could have imagined, posting 25 points per game. This is an impressive feat, considering the Cleveland Browns faced significant injuries in 2023. Despite limping through the season with reserve players and makeshift solutions, Flacco continued to produce. It remains to be seen if Flacco will stay in Cleveland or if he'll get a chance to start elsewhere in 2024. | 2024 RB Rankings | In the running back rankings, there can only be one king, and that is Christian McCaffrey. He lived up to expectations in 2023, averaging 24.5 PPR points per game. Kyren Williams emerged unexpectedly to earn CBS Fantasy MVP honors, with his 21.3 PPR points per game ranking second among all eligible running backs. | | While many argue that a Zero-RB strategy would have been the ideal approach in 2023 based on PPR points per game, it's unlikely we'll see much of that in 2024 due to the potential of the new generation of running backs like Jahmyr Gibbs, De'Von Achane, Bijan Robinson, and others. | | 2024 WR Rankings | The wide receiver rankings highlight several disappointments among the position group, which would have been difficult to predict before 2023 Fantasy drafts. Stefon Diggs (ADP WR4) endured chemistry issues with Josh Allen, posting a meager 15.2 PPR points per game. Davanta Adams, Cooper Kupp, and Garrett Wilson also underperformed compared to their ADP for various reasons. However, they could all be in line for a bounce-back season in 2024 if their situations and/or game scripts improve. | | Despite the unpredictability in choosing a productive wide receiver in 2023, Tyreek Hill lived up to the preseason hype. Hill led all wide receivers, averaging 22.2 PPR points per game. As Hill approaches 30 next season, we'll see if he can claim the throne once again in 2024, a belief shared by some of our Fantasy analysts. | 2024 TE Rankings | Last but not least, the tight end position seems to be undergoing a changing of the guard. While sage veterans like Travis Kelce were productive this season (finishing as the No. 1 tight end with 14.63 PPR points per game), a youth movement is occurring. T.J. Hockenson wasn't far behind with 14.6 PPR points per game, despite unfortunately tearing his ACL and MCL in Week 16. | We remain optimistic about his bright future once he returns to the lineup. Hockenson is just one of the few young tight ends with the potential to put up big numbers in 2024 and beyond. Sam LaPorta, Trey McBride, and Dalton Kincaid will all have an opportunity to make their mark on the Fantasy landscape in 2024. | | | | | Steelers at Bills | | San Diego State at New Mexico | Tune in for NFL Super Wild Card weekend on CBS with Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, Tracy Wolfson, Jay Feely and Gene Steratore LIVE from Orchard Park as the Bills host the Steelers in a high-stakes matchup Watch | | Watch College Basketball on CBS this weekend as the #19 Aztecs travel to “the Pit” to take on the Lobos, Saturday at 2 PM ET Watch |
