"That’s where they went!" Precious cargo goes up in flames

Still having a hard time finding toilet paper during your supply runs? It’s not just you — the valuable commodity is still in high demand more than three weeks after social distancing efforts began in earnest. Believe it or not, retailers and suppliers are working tirelessly to ship toilet paper to stores. There isn’t an issue with wood pulp or resources, but sometimes logistics can be complicated and disaster can strike. Just last week, a tractor-trailer hauling hundreds of pounds of toilet paper crashed on an interstate just outside of Dallas, Texas. When the truck came to a stop, it burst into flames and all of the cargo onboard did as well. According to state officials, the toilet paper “burned extensively,” but the driver made it out OK. At least we don’t have to blame hoarders anymore. If you want to get something done, you gotta do it yourself.
