EAT 2020 - Already dry in the Black Sea region for winter crops

ALREADY DRY IN THE BLACK SEA REGION

Farmers have planted 70 % of winter crops in Ukraine and 84 % in Russia. However, the situation is dry in both countries and there is no rain forecasted until the end of October. Last year we observed similar conditions, but this fall the operators show even more concern as the soil moisture reserves are decreasing.

HOW TO FOLLOW CROP CONDITIONS?

Like every year, the European Agritel Tour team is coming back to the fields of the main production regions of the Black Sea Basin. Our experts will not only assess the crops conditions before winter but also learn the views of local operators.

We will publish a report on crop conditions in each country (Ukraine, Romania, Russia, Germany) with a detailed production range estimate.
