| We are going to the corn fields in August!
For the 3rd time, Agritel consultants and agronomists will assess the corn production potential directly in the fields in Ukraine. For many years now, the country keeps its place as the 4th largest corn exporter in the world after the USA, Brazil, and Argentina, that’s why it’s so important to estimate its new corn crop volume several weeks before the harvest*. Our methodology has been proven for the last 6 years on the wheat in the Black Sea area and 2 last years for corn in Ukraine. In 2019, for example, we were the only ones on the market who predicted a few weeks before the harvest a record corn production in Ukraine. After bumper corn harvests in Ukraine in 2018 and 2019, we will go back to the fields between the 24th and the 28th of August in order to estimate the corn production potential. The EAT clients will receive a first-handed information every day during the crop tour, and our final forecasts of Black Sea corn production 2020. *In the 2019/20 marketing year, 1 out of 5 corn grains exported worldwide was from Ukraine
