Member States plan to evaluate 28 substances in 2025-2027

Based on the Member State Committee's opinion, we have adopted and published the Community rolling action plan (CoRAP) for 2025-2027 on 25 March 2025.  

  

Eight substances are planned to be evaluated in 2025, while twenty are listed for 2026 and 2027. 
 
Registrants who need to update their dossiers with new relevant information, such as hazard, tonnages, use, and exposure, can follow this guide for advice.  


REACH

 

Current activities on restrictions: guidelines for Aprotic solvents

Following a request from the European Commission, we are updating the guideline for 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) (EC 212-828-1) by extending its scope to also cover:

  • N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) (EC 200-679-5);
  • N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAC) (EC 204-826-4); and
  • 1-ethylpyrrolidin-2-one (NEP) (EC 220-250-6).

We expect to publish the guidelines within the first quarter of 2026.


CLP

 

New intentions and proposals to harmonise classification and labelling

Intentions have been submitted for: 

  • 1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4,4-nonafluorobutane-1-sulphonic acid (EC 206-793-1, CAS 375-73-5); and
  • Dimethylsilanediol (EC 213-915-7, CAS 1066-42-8).

Proposals have been submitted for: 

  • fluopyram (ISO); N-{2-[3-chloro- 5-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-2- yl]ethyl}-2-(trifluoromethyl)benzamide (provisional chemical name) (EC -, CAS 658066-35-4); and
  • Pepper (Piper), P. nigrum, ext. (provisional chemical name) (EC 284-524-7, CAS 84929-41-9).


Biocides

 

Treated articles: list of allowed substances updated

We have updated the list of substance and product-type combinations that can be used in treated articles.

List of biocides suppliers updated

We have also updated Article 95 list of active substance and product suppliers.


Persistent organic pollutants (POPs)

 

Consultation on substances proposed for listing as POPs

We have published a consultation on the draft risk profile for:

  • polybrominated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans and mixed polybrominated/chlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans (PBDD/Fs and PBCDD/Fs).

European Commission

 

Biocides decisions on Union authorisations

The European Commission has granted a Union authorisation for:

  • the biocidal product family 'Sodium hypochlorite Liquid disinfectant biocidal product family'.

The Commission has also amended a Union authorisation due to administrative changes for:

  • the biocidal product family 'CVAS Biocidal Product Family based on L(+) Lactic Acid'; and
  • the single biocidal product 'Bioquell HPV-AQ'.
