April 5, 2024 Happy almost total eclipse eve to our readers in North America. On Monday viewers along a narrow path from western Mexico to eastern Canada will be treated to this natural event and we want to see your pictures! We're launching a new series of DPReview Editor's Photo Challenges on the website. Check out the story below for details.
And for our friends not in North America, we'll have a live stream of the eclipse on our homepage on Monday. Let's make a day of it. This week we also looked back on 25 years of April Fools at DPReview and got a little 'meta' with it. Camera Debate Madness is also down to one final question. Scroll down to tell us what you think.Turning to every dad's favorite topic, the weather. After a few sunny days (as you may have noticed in recent sample galleries) April showers are starting to settle in for us in Seattle. So I guess we'll be weather-testing gear when we're not indoors testing it. Stay tuned.

Question of the week Do you have a question you'd like to see in this section? Email me. We're down to our last match for Camera Debate Madness! Our final question gets to the core of photography, and we're curious to hear what you have to say.
Would you rather have a Canon EOS R8 with five prime lenses, a lighting kit, a tripod and accessories, or a one-year dream trip without a camera? See the previous debate results and answer this week's question by clicking here to vote. |

DPReview Wonders - send us a question Why is it called an F-stop? How does a flash work? What is the oldest camera in history? No question is too big or too small. What do you wonder about photography, video, history, culture, gear or creating? Submit your questions to our survey and we'll investigate the answers in upcoming articles! |
