Congratulations to the2016 eCYBERMISSION national winning teams announced last Friday at the National Judging and Education Event (NJ&EE) awards luncheon. eCYBERMISSION—a web-based STEM competition for students in grades 6 through 9—challenged students to develop solutions to real-world challenges in their local communities. Each team member of the national winning teams was awarded $9,000 in U.S. savings bonds. See a full list of the 2016 eCYBERMISSION national winners and STEM-in-Action Grant recipients here.

Feel like summer goes by too fast, so there's not enough time to apply for funding? Don't worry: You have nearly the whole summer to apply for these. High school teachers, you have until August 22 to apply for the AVS Science and Technology Society Science Educators' Workshop and Equipment Grant, which provides a free vacuum system for your school when you attend an inservice workshop on low-pressure experiments and modeling this fall. Teachers of disadvantaged youth, you have until August 31 to apply for MAXIMUS Charitable Foundation Grants of between $2,500 and $5,000. Those seeking funding for classroom projects have until September 9 to nominate them for up to $5,000 in funding from the Apples for Education Program.
