It's Election Day. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

There's something on the ballot today for everyone. There are eight constitutional amendments, a U.S. Senate race and most people in Louisiana have a congressional race to consider. We preview the top races, and also have a list of all the contests in the Baton Rouge area.

The brother of a high-ranking Louisiana State Police officer was shot dead during a traffic stop in Rapides Parish. Local authorities asked State Police to investigate. The state agency says it can be impartial as it looks at what happened.

The New Orleans Saints lost to Baltimore last night. It wasn't pretty at all.
