Also, can you believe it's already been 33 years since the Berlin Wall fell? ð® What We Know Senator Mike Lee and all 4 Utah incumbent Congressmen have won re-election, as have most Utah legislative incumbents John Fetterman (D) beat Dr. Oz in Pennsylvania, flipping the seat to blue, J.D. Vance (R) won in Ohio. The "red wave" many were anticipating did not materialize What We Don't Know Who will control the Senate Who will win the race for governor of Arizona. Democrat Katie Hobbs currently leads Republican Kari Lake but the race is too close to call Whether Lauren Boebert (R) will be returning to Congress. Her race is too close to call. Who will win the Senate race in Georgia. With 98% reporting, current Senator Raphael Warnock is leading Herschel Walker 49.42% to 48.52%. If neither hits 50%, they will go to a Dec. 6 runoff Who will win in the Nevada Senate race | |

Utah Headlines Elections Constitutional Amendment A is on its way to defeat The Orem/Alpine school district split went down hard, with almost 73% of the votes tallied yesterday saying no. The Alpine School District bond is failing, but the Davis School District bond is passing Sim Gill (D) is on his way to victory over Danielle Ahn for District Attorney Lannie Chapman (D) is leading Goud Maragani for county clerk Suzanne Harrison (D) has a solid lead over Republican incumbent Richard Snelgrove for a Salt Lake County Council seat Arlyn Bradshaw and Aimee Winder Newton keep their seats on the SL County Council Trevor Lee, who ousted incumbent Steve Handy at the GOP convention earlier this year, leads Handy's write-in campaign by 13% points Quinn Kotter (R) is currently leading incumbent Utah House Rep. Elizabeth Weight by fewer than 250 votes and Anthony Loubet (R) is leading current Rep. Clare Collard by just over 160 votes. Those races remain too close to call. Joel Ferry, who resigned his Utah House seat but remained on the ballot won handily with almost 83% of the vote. National Headlines Elections Republican Chuck Grassley, 89, won re-election to the Senate for his 8th term. He will be 95 before his next term expires Vermont is sending their first women to Congress, Becca Balint (D). They are the last state to send a woman for the first time. In 2022. Sarah Huckabee Sanders is the new governor of Arkansas, the first woman to hold that seat. Kathy Hochul became the first woman to win an election as New York's governor. She had been the Lt. Governor who became governor when Andrew Cuomo resigned last year. Wes Moore (D) became Maryland's first Black governor and only the third Black governor in US history Maura Healey (D) became Massachusetts' first female governor and first openly gay governor Marco Rubio defeated Val Demings in Florida Governor Ron DeSantis won a second term in Florida. Some supporters chanted "Two more years!" at his victory party as a nod toward the possibility he will be running for president in 2024. Voters in three states - Alabama, Tennessee and Vermont - approved changes to their states' constitutions prohibiting slavery. In Oregon, the vote is currently too close to call and in Louisiana, voter rejected the proposed amendment to prohibit "involuntary servitude." Democrat Maxwell Alejandro Frost has become the first Gen Z member to win a seat in Congress, winning a Florida House seat. He is a 25-yr old gun reform and social justice activist. Abortion rights are now constitutionally protected in Michigan, California and Vermont. An anti-abortion constitutional amendment was defeated in Kentucky Mary Peltola holds early lead in Alaska House race over Sarah Palin and Nick Begich. Brian Kemp (R) defeated Stacey Abrams in the Georgia governor's race.
