Try a Little
Personalization


Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know what you think of when we talk about first name
personalization (Dear "First Name").  Been there, done that, right? 
Well we're asking you to get a little more creative and go a bit further with your
subject lines.  Test personalizing your subject lines based on your
subscribers' location (view
example
), past purchases (Amazon will send emails about products their
audience might like based on past purchases), or anything from their demographics
to specified interests.  There's some intense competition going on in your
subscribers' inboxes, so be unique!  Make yourself stand out.  Just make
sure you're collecting this information in subscriber preferences, so that you can
plan thorough campaigns with plenty of options!
