Email Marketing Tip #9:
Be Your Own Email Marketing

Which emails do you open?  Which ones do you ignore?  Which ones do
you delete or mark as spam?  Subscribe to as many emails as possible and find
out which ones make you want to open them (and why).  Are they
catchy?  Do they offer you something?  Do they leave you dying to know
what the email has to say?  Are they long, short, or do they give it to you
straight?  Look around, do some research.  Combine your email knowledge
with your experience as a subscriber.  Finally, look at the data from your
recent campaigns. What is working?  Use this information to craft subject
lines that encourage the open, but don't forget to test!
