October 11, 2024 Dear Friend, Welcome back to my Week in Review newsletter. Please remember to follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube for regular updates on how I am serving the people of South Carolina! This week offers an opportunity to ruminate on the theme of unity as we reflect on the first anniversary of Hamas’s unprovoked, barbaric attack on Israeli civilians and the recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene. The anniversary of the attacks serves as a reminder of the importance of communities standing together in solidarity against violence and hatred. Simultaneously, the recovery efforts from Hurricane Helene highlights the strength of the American Spirit, as communities in South Carolina and beyond demonstrate compassion and resilience in supporting those affected. Both events serve as powerful reminders that, whether confronted by external threats or natural disasters, true strength is rooted in our ability to unite, support one another, and work towards healing and rebuilding. As we embrace the theme of unity, we create a stronger foundation, ultimately allowing us to navigate adversity more effectively. “All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.” Acts 4:32 |
