We saw broad weakness in emerging market currencies, with fear in the market that the Fed could hike by 100 basis points. This could be a case of "buy the rumour, sell the fact" if the Fed hikes by 75 basis points. With the market still talking about a recession, commodities have been under pressure due to expectations of a decrease in demand. Precious metals were sold-off and Brent Crude moved towards the $90 per barrel level. It all happens on Wednesday when the Fed makes its decision!
