Some leading Minnesota Republicans are lending their support to a lawsuit attempting to get the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene in the presidential election. Minnesota Congressmen Tom Emmer, Jim Hagedorn and Pete Stauber are among more than 100 Republican lawmakers who have publicly backed a Texas case. That lawsuit asks the nation’s highest court to invalidate Electoral College votes in four key states that went for Democrat Joe Biden. Minnesota health officials say there have been 699 pandemic deaths so far in the month of December, with 94 people dead reported today. Health officials say Minnesota is still likely to hit 400,000 cases in the next week or so. On a more positive note, new daily cases and hospital admissions continue to slow after spiking in November and the start of December. But hospitalizations still remain relatively high.
